The Little Book of Slugs sold 10,000 copies in the run up to Christmas in 2002. It was the first book CAT sold to a mainstream audience and came out at a time when environmental issues were still unfashionable. It seems strange looking back that it was nearly ten years ago. So much has changed since then. The Little Book of Slugs is lots of fun. It includes contributions from people who signed up for our Bug the Slug campaign and posted their slug solutions on our website ihateslugs.com, some of which are quite chilling in their obsessive nature. It’s an insight into human nature as well as a good little gardening book.
