Hi Lizzy

Apologies for the delay in replying! The single hole in the bottom should probably be about the width of a pencil and is just for the liquid to run out. Worms may fall through the hole but its unlikely that they will be searching for a way out if the wormery is kept filled up with food and kept at a good temperature with plenty of moisture. If it gets too hot they will look for a way of getting out.

Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your "Make your own DIY Wormery". It is definateley the easiest guide I have found.
I do have two questions though. How big does the single hole in the bottom box have to be? Do you have to be careful that the worms don't fall through this hole?

Kind regards
