Hiya - that was a lovely clear description of how to make a wormery! I bought one in the end, though it is so much fun, I might make another one, it really does seem quite easy to do (now that I have got the swing of using the one I bought). My plants seem to love the 'worm tea' as you mentioned (worm juice). Actually, 'worm juice' is a better description to use, as someone I mentioned it to presumed I was drinking the stuff myself!!! Eeeeek! I made a simple video to show me preparing the bedding for it http://www.youtube.co/watch?v=gSgVYnVtw90
Would love to see you post pics of your wormery. I have just bought a usb microscope, its fab... am planning to do some 'up close and personal' shots/videos of my worms. I have seen a video someone did using one, and they had a video of a worm egg - and not only that, you could actually SEE the baby worm moving around inside of it, it was truly amazing!
Anyway - keep up the good work, I enjoy reading your blog... :)
